Job summary

Knott Laboratory, LLC. seeks an Accident Reconstructionist to join our Accident Investigation team in Chicago, Phoenix or Nashville.

The role involves investigating crashes, performing vehicle inspections, conducting advanced crash analysis and reconstruction, and providing expert testimony in jury trials. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in court, willingness to travel up to 60%, and a mechanical/engineering background with crash reconstruction training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in crash investigation.
• Experience in motor vehicle accident investigation and reconstruction.
• Strong understanding of crash dynamics and vehicle systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including courtroom testimony.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate motor vehicle crashes and conduct on-site examinations.
• Perform vehicle inspections documenting damage and components.
• Conduct crash analysis and reconstruction using established methods.
• Analyze evidence including EDR data, photos, measurements, and witness statements.
• Prepare reports, exhibits, and visual aids for litigation.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions and trials.
• Utilize drone technology for aerial scene documentation when applicable.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and uphold ethical standards.
