Job summary

TYG is seeking an Accident Reconstruction Engineer to join a growing forensic engineering team in Atlanta, GA. You will investigate incidents, apply vehicle dynamics and engineering principles, and produce clear technical findings for clients and attorneys.

The role offers mentorship, exposure to high-value investigations, and opportunities across multiple sectors. PE license preferred; ACTAR accreditation encouraged; active licensure pursued is acceptable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accident reconstruction or forensic engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or pursuing licensure.
  • ACTAR accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting accident scene and evidence inspections.
  • Performing accident reconstruction and analyses to determine how incidents occurred.
  • Producing clear, detailed technical reports and presenting findings to clients and attorneys.
  • Applying vehicle dynamics and engineering principles to complex investigations.

Job description

We are working with a highly regarded forensic engineering and consulting firm that is continuing to grow its accident reconstruction practice, hiring at all levels from junior to senior. This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically focused team involved in a diverse portfolio of complex investigations, litigation matters and incident analysis across multiple sectors.

The Role

As an Accident Reconstruction Engineer, you will play a key role in investigating incidents and developing technically sound findings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting accident scene, vehicle and evidence inspections
  • Performing accident reconstruction and engineering analyses to determine how incidents occurred
  • Applying vehicle dynamics, engineering principles and available data to complex investigations
  • Producing clear, detailed technical reports and presenting findings to clients, attorneys and other project stakeholders
About You

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with:

  • Proven experience in accident reconstruction, forensic engineering, or a related field
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, though candidates actively working toward licensure are encouraged to apply
  • ACTAR accreditation preferred
