Job summary

TYG, a forensic engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an Accident Reconstruction Engineer to join its growing practice. You will investigate incidents, perform reconstructions, and develop technically sound findings.

You will inspect scenes, apply vehicle dynamics, produce detailed reports, and present to clients and attorneys. PE license preferred; ACTAR preferred; opportunity across states with mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering discipline.
• PE license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
• ACTAR accreditation preferred.
• Proven experience in accident reconstruction, forensic engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accident scene, vehicle and evidence inspections.
• Perform accident reconstruction and engineering analyses to determine how incidents occurred.
• Produce clear, detailed technical reports and present findings to clients, attorneys and other project stakeholders.
• Apply vehicle dynamics and engineering principles to complex investigations.

The Role

As an Accident Reconstruction Engineer, you will play a key role in investigating incidents and developing technically sound findings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting accident scene, vehicle and evidence inspections
• Performing accident reconstruction and engineering analyses to determine how incidents occurred
• Applying vehicle dynamics, engineering principles and available data to complex investigations
• Producing clear, detailed technical reports and presenting findings to clients, attorneys and other project stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with:

• Proven experience in accident reconstruction, forensic engineering, or a related field
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, though candidates actively working toward licensure are encouraged to apply
• ACTAR accreditation preferred
