Qualifications

  • ACTAR certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated accident reconstruction experience.
  • Prior deposition and/or trial testimony experience.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accident reconstruction investigations involving passenger vehicles, trucking, pedestrian, bicycle, and other complex dynamic events.
  • Perform collision analysis including speed determination, impact severity, vehicle dynamics, and event sequencing.
  • Conduct site inspections, vehicle inspections, and evidence evaluations.
  • Analyse EDR data, video evidence, photographs, and physical evidence.
  • Prepare technically robust expert reports and opinions.
  • Provide deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial testimony.
  • Mentor junior reconstruction staff and contribute to technical quality and regional growth.

Job description

I’m currently supporting a specialist forensic consulting firm in the search for an experienced ACTAR-certified Accident Reconstruction Expert to lead complex investigations within a defined geographic region. About the Role

This opportunity is suited to an experienced reconstructionist seeking a senior, technically focused role combining expert testimony, case leadership, mentoring, and forensic analysis. The successful individual will serve as a lead forensic expert on matters involving vehicle collisions, commercial trucking incidents, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, and other dynamic events, while working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically defensible opinions.
