LER Product Design, LLC seeks an Accessory Interior Design Release Engineer - Validation in Columbus,
Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 1 day/week. Duties: lead validation activities for automotive interior programs; ensure that validation testing complies with safety and data integrity and integration requirements; document validation using Polarion and drive issue closure to meet program timing requirements; procure test vendor quotes; develop purchase order and test requests; support the Quote team with cost estimates; develop, manage and publish Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) documentation for subsystems; develop and maintain validation timing plans; generate and implement cost saving initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related engineering field, and 3 years of experience in a validation engineering or testing position. Included within the 3 years of experience, must have experience in all of the following: vehicle interior product engineering (instrument panels, door trim, floor consoles, trim, or seating); Application Lifecycle Management (Polarion or Teamcenter); DVP&R creation and maintenance; design Verification and Product Validation testing; request for Quotation (RFQ) development and supplier quote evaluation; cost estimating, tracking, and benefit analysis; validation timing plan development.
