Job summary

Goken, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is seeking a Design Release Engineer (Interiors) to drive the design from concept to production for vehicle interiors components. You will partner with design, validation, procurement, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality trim systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 5 years in interior trims, with hands-on CATIA V5/V6 experience, DFMEA and GD&T knowledge, and strong cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Specialties: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
• 5 years’ experience as a DRE for Interiors trims.
• 5+ years hands-on design in CATIA V5/V6.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and guide senior management.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and release Interiors system components from concept to production.
• Develop components from concept through production.
• Set targets for cost, weight, performance, and quality.
• Coordinate with purchasing, suppliers, testing, and manufacturing.
• Provide 3D CAD drawings and documentation.
• Lead design reviews and implement cost reduction methods.
• Stay current with new technology and products.
• Travel as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
