Kahlig Auto Group in New Braunfels, TX is seeking an Accessory Department Installer to fit and install aftermarket parts and features on customer vehicles. You will read specifications, use hand tools, and perform adjustments to ensure quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service while contributing to a newly created Accessory Department. Previous mechanical experience is helpful, with opportunities for hands-on training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must meet company’s requirements for employment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• General mechanical skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Professional appearance.
• Manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely.
• 6-12 months of previous work experience.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Activate power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights and directional signals to ensure specific operating standards.
• Replace defective items according to specifications using hand tools.
• Install optional equipment specified by the customer or Dealer such as wheels, lifts, bumpers, hitches, outside mirrors, rugs or seat covers using hand tools.
• Install or repair major mechanical, hydraulic, or electromechanical equipment such as radios, air conditioners, power steering units, and power brakes using hand tools.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals.
