Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services seeks a Website Designer to support the agency’s website redesign. The role requires expert web publishing, HTML/CSS, and graphic design skills to improve usability, accessibility, and performance.

You will collaborate with the Communications Office and editors, provide staff training on 508 compliance, and assist with publishing visualizations in GIS and Tableau. A related degree and experience are required.

Qualifications

• Expert abilities in web publishing, HTML/CSS and graphic design.
• Excellent listening skills and willingness to incorporate feedback.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; two years of web content management experience.
• Preferred experience with Figma and Canva; knowledge of accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Support website design, publishing and page construction for the agency.
• Collaborate with Communications Office to improve usability and accessibility.
• Provide training to staff to ensure Section 508 compliance and accessibility.
• Assist with posting visuals in ARC-GIS and dashboards in Tableau.
