Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking a Website Designer to support the agency’s redesign project. You will work with the Communications Office and editors to improve page structure, usability, and accessibility, delivering compliant web content and training staff.

The role requires expert web publishing, HTML/CSS knowledge, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau, and ArcGIS. A Bachelor’s degree and prior web content management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Expert abilities in web publishing and HTML/CSS.
• Experience with accessibility (Section 508) and WCAG basics.
• Background in graphic design or related fields with web content management.

Responsibilities

• Support website design for the agency's redesign project.
• Collaborate with Communications Office and editors to improve usability.
• Ensure accessibility, usability, and performance of pages.
• Provide staff training to ensure 508 compliant documents.
• Publish visualizations in ARC-GIS and dashboards in Tableau.
