Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking an Accessible Learning Assistant Coordinator to help ensure students with disabilities have timely access to instructional materials and technology-based accommodations. You will coordinate captioning and accessible media, support alternative formats, and assist with DHH accommodations.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field.
• Experience with accessibility standards and accommodations processes is preferred.
• Professional communication and collaboration with students, faculty, and staff are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accessible media and captioning requests with students, faculty, and vendors.
• Support alternative media delivery, electronic text, and accessible learning materials.
• Provide information and assistance on accessibility services, processes, and resources.
• Maintain service records, documentation, and reports; assist with QA and tracking of services.
• Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) scheduling and outreach activities.
