Position Summary
The Accessible Learning Assistant Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring students with disabilities have timely and equitable access to instructional materials and technology-based accommodations at San Diego State University. Under the supervision of the Accessible Technology Coordinator, this position supports the coordination and delivery of accessible media services, including captioning, alternative media, audio description, and accessible learning resources. The incumbent collaborates with Student Disability Services staff, faculty, students, and external vendors to coordinate services, prepare accessible materials, communicate with students, and provide technology support that removes academic barriers and promotes student success in an inclusive learning environment.

Department Summary
Student Disability Services (SDS) provides a full range of accommodations and services to students with disabilities, facilitating equal access to the educational process. Services include sign language interpreting, alternative formats (electronic text, Braille), captioning, test accommodations, advising, assistive technology, and related supports to promote retention and graduation.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a behavioral science, public or business administration, or a related field. Additional specialized experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Typically, one year of professional Student Services experience at entry level is expected; graduate-level education may be substituted for the required experience.

San Diego State University offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package to support well-being and professional growth.
Compensation: Salary is based on experience, education, and qualifications within the department’s budget and equity guidelines. CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,482 - $6,342/month; hiring salary not to exceed $4,482/month.
