Job summary

Lewis & Clark College is seeking Testing Proctors to support the Office of Student Accessibility. You will help maintain a fair, secure, and confidential testing environment for undergraduate students with disabilities and work on a team across shifts.

Must be a currently enrolled Graduate or Law student. Work hours are 8–15 per week for Lead Proctors, with on-call coverage for backups; exams run 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with extended hours during finals.

• Ability to work in a quiet environment that requires focus.
• Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
• Business casual attire when working in the Office of Student Accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials and student information, adhering to established policies and guidelines.
• Exhibit strong communication and de-escalation skills by remaining calm and professional in difficult situations.
• Monitor exams to prevent cheating and ensure all rules and procedures are followed.
• Verify that exam instructions and materials are correct and followed by students.
• Promote diversity and inclusion by honoring and working with all individuals, particularly those underrepresented.
• Manage a variable schedule and provide support for last-minute needs, including during high-volume periods like final exams.
