Job summary

University of Central Florida's Student Accessibility Services seeks a creative Course Access Coordinator to ensure blind, low vision, Deaf, and hard of hearing students have timely and meaningful access to their coursework with accommodations.

You will collaborate with faculty, the SAS Assistant Director for Accessible Technology, the UCF Digital Accessibility Lab, and outside vendors to secure accessible documents, Braille and captioning, and other adaptive resources while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Experience in disability/accessibility services or related student support in higher education or nonprofit settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of assistive technology tools and accessible document remediation practices (e.g., PDF remediation, Braille transcription, captioning workflows).

Responsibilities

• Work with blind and low vision students and faculty to secure accessible documents and materials.
• Coordinate access resources with SAS leadership, Digital Accessibility Lab, and external vendors; manage invoices and develop systems for accommodations.
• Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) administrative tasks, including captioning and invoicing for services.
• Meet with students to determine accommodations and consult with faculty on access matters.
• Assist SAS in accommodated testing, events, and front desk coverage.
