Job summary

National Seating Mobility, Inc. is seeking an Accessibility Technician to assemble, modify and deliver accessibility equipment, and diagnose malfunctions in customers' homes or facilities.

You will install stairlifts, ceiling lifts, ramps and related products, maintain tools and stock, and provide customer service by explaining issues and coordinating with therapists. This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug and background check
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate

Responsibilities

• Install, restore, repair, maintain and set up NSM stairlifts, ceiling lifts, VPLs, ramps, and other accessibility products in clients’ homes or facilities.
• Perform maintenance of tools, shop supplies and other items necessary for the conduct of the service work.
• Set up and install out of store delivery of products at customers' homes and facilities.
• Communicate with customers to ascertain the nature of the technical problem and its possible causes; provide assurance regarding the equipment.
• Maintain records of work performed including time and materials; review daily paperwork with the team and assist with billing.
• Troubleshoot faulty equipment over the phone or on-site; fabricate and install customized components as needed.
• Coordinate with in-store staff and therapists to assist with evaluations, modifications, and deliveries.
• Handle inventory, warehouse management and other branch duties as assigned.
