Fairfield University seeks a library Access Services Assistant to support patrons, supervise student employees, and manage daily operations at the DiMenna-Nyselius Library. You will assist with circulation, access services workflows, and mentor a team of student workers while maintaining high service standards.
The role requires a year of library experience, strong computer skills, and knowledge of integrated library systems.

DiMenna-Nyselius Library
Supports a variety of Access Services andclerical procedures. Assists library patrons in the use of librarymaterials, facilities, and equipment. Supervises and trains studentemployees. Manages Access Services operations in absence of Head ofAccess Services or Access Services & Reserves Specialist.
Physical requirements: mobility;must be able to lift materials off shelf. Requires some evening andweekend hours.
Associate degree or equivalent required.
One-year previous library or relatedexperience. Demonstrated computer literacy. Demonstrated knowledgeof integrated library systems. Supervisory and communication skillsare required. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Assists with all Access Services operations. This includes:
