William Paterson University invites applications for an Access Services Librarian responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising Lending Services, reserves, and related patron services in a twelve‑month tenure‑track position.
The role includes supervision of staff, policy development, and collaboration with campus units to maintain accurate systems and data, along with ongoing professional development and service to diverse university communities.
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Access & Information Services, the Access Services Librarian plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates services and staff for circulation, course reserves, stacks, and related patron services in a twelve‑month tenure‑track position.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively engage and communicate with diverse university communities and external audiences. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set reasonable and attainable milestones, and stay on a timeline to achieve agreed‑upon goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain relationships with diverse groups including colleagues, external clients, prospective students, employer representatives, and community members. Ability to stay motivated and effective when working independently. Evidence of working effectively in teams.
Starting Salary – AFT Range 22 – $69,373.45–$79,781.83. This position may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health and dental insurance and retirement plans.
