The Access Services librarian will coordinate daily circulation services, including tracking course reserves, documenting user borrowing standards, and facilitating collection access for onsite and digital users. Additional duties will include individualized instruction at the reference desk, service through academic or library committees, and adherence to faculty librarian scholarship standards. The librarian may oversee a small number of part-time staff or student worker direct reports and complete basic administrative tasks.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to design a variety of online and in-person general and subject-specific instruction sessions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
