Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an Access Referral Specialist to act as the primary contact for inbound calls, faxes, and emails from referral sources and the community. You will support referral development, patient access, and admissions coordination across hospice, palliative, and geriatric services.

The role requires strong communication, insurance verification, and Epic system skills, with ability to multitask and maintain accurate documentation in a busy Access Center environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare call center setting.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance.
• Experience with DocuSign and Epic systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule visits and admissions for Gilchrist programs and services.
• Record referral information for business tracking and management.
• Maintain Epic workflows and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with bed management and cross-training as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve inquiries from referrals and patients.
