Job summary

CBX Solutions LLC in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Access Control Technician to install, configure, and service access control and video surveillance systems across commercial facilities.

You’ll interpret shop drawings, pull low‑voltage wiring, program readers and door hardware, and coordinate with contractors to ensure seamless integration with existing systems. The role requires hands-on technical skills and a customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certifications are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with access control and surveillance systems in commercial environments.
• Familiarity with Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Openpath is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shop drawings and project plans to guide field installations.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot access control systems and CCTV components.
• Pre-assemble and test components prior to field installation.
• Pull and terminate low voltage wiring (Cat5e/6, coax, structured cabling).
• Coordinate with door and hardware technicians for system integration.
• Interface with general contractors and on-site staff to ensure compliance.
• Diagnose service calls and identify root causes, implementing corrective actions.
• Document work performed and configurations for records.
• Ensure installations meet industry standards (BICSI, EIA/TIA) and manufacturer specs.
• Other duties as assigned.
