TEKsystems in Memphis, TN is seeking a contract-to-hire Security Technician to install, program, test, and maintain access control, CCTV, and related security systems onsite. You will troubleshoot, diagnose issues, and ensure system compliance with codes while reading schematics and field drawings.

Ideal candidates have 2-3+ years of low-voltage experience, a valid driver's license, and strong problem-solving skills. Benefits and on-site safety requirements apply.

• 2-3+ years of experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, or related low-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of access control platforms, video surveillance, and low-voltage wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Description

Install, program, test, and maintain access control systems, card readers, door hardware, CCTV cameras, and related security devices.

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems.

Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.

Test system functionality and verify compliance with customer requirements and applicable codes.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Perform network and device troubleshooting for access control and CCTV systems.

Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs.

Complete service reports, inspection documentation, work orders, and timesheets accurately and on schedule.

Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members regarding job progress and system performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
