Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Commercial Security Installation Technician I for an onsite contract-to-hire role in Atlanta, GA. You will install and troubleshoot enterprise security systems, including door access and CCTV, at client sites, and travel with a company vehicle to complete installations to contract requirements.

The role requires a High School degree or equivalent, 2–3 years in physical security or related fields, and valid licensing; on-call work and a clean driving record are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of experience in physical security, fire alarm or low voltage industry installing field devices.
• Experience with Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI is preferred.
• Possess or able to obtain proper state licensing (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic.)
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
• On-call rotation; valid driver’s license with clean record and adequate insurance

Responsibilities

• Install commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients (door access, CCTV, intrusion, low voltage comms, electronic locks).
• Troubleshoot new installations to ensure proper function and code compliance.
• Drive to client sites with company vehicle to perform installation and verify operation per contract.
• Run electrical wiring including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
• Connect control panels, wire concealment, and security software installation.
• Complete miscellaneous job-site tasks and clean-up.

What to expect as a Commercial Security Installation Technician I:

Install, commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.)

Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes

Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements

Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.

Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation.

Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned such as job-site clean-up

Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet

Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
