Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a skilled security technician in Little Rock, AR to install, program, test, and maintain access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems. You’ll read blueprints, perform wiring, and ensure system performance meets customer requirements.

In this contract-to-hire role, you’ll conduct site surveys, document service reports, and communicate progress with customers and project managers, while upholding safety and quality standards on every site.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience working with access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, or related low-voltage systems.
• Working knowledge of access control platforms, video surveillance systems, and low-voltage wiring practices.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform preventive maintenance on security systems.

Install, program, test, and maintain access control systems, card readers, door hardware, CCTV cameras, and related security devices.

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems.

Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.

Test system functionality and verify compliance with customer requirements and applicable codes.

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

Perform network and device troubleshooting for access control and CCTV systems.

Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs.

Complete service reports, inspection documentation, work orders, and timesheets accurately and on schedule.

Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members regarding job progress and system performance.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
