If security is important to you, keep reading. These are the foundational qualities we are looking for in our Access Control Specialists!

1. Monitor and control the access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by ensuring proper access.
2. Ensure prohibited and restricted items do not enter or exit the building.
3. Diligently monitor your restricted area.
4. Provide excellent customer service to all employees and visitors.
5. Remain alert and aware of surroundings.
6. Exhibit excellent communication in every interaction.
7. Work independently during your scheduled shift(s).
8. Adapt to change within high-volume, fast-paced, and slow-paced environments.
9. Hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
10. Work shifts: 1st (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd (2:00pm - 10:00pm), or 3rd (10:00pm - 6:00am), with shifts varying by contract needs; support 24/7 operations.
11. Commit to working one weekend shift every weekend.
12. Maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
13. Have a High School diploma or GED.
14. Reside within a 75-mile radius of Annapolis Junction, MD.
15. Be open to alternating work locations within 10-15 miles of Annapolis Junction Business Park.
16. Read, speak, and understand English fluently.
17. Be comfortable leaving mobile devices at home or in your car, as work location is in a restricted mobile communication zone.
18. Be available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday per year, as determined by Amentum.

Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands

You need to be physically capable of performing all duties, including:

1. Having 20/20 vision (correctable with glasses or contacts) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4.
2. Being free of color blindness.
3. Having normal visual fields and good depth perception.
4. Having hearing correctable to normal levels with hearing aids.
5. Standing continuously for 4 hours at a time.
6. Working independently during your scheduled shift(s).
