The Work Control Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the Facilities Department operates efficiently. Responsibilities include managing work requests, tracking utility data, overseeing maintenance materials, supporting rental property operations, and facilitating communication among staff, vendors, and contractors. The role also involves maintaining records, coordinating vehicle fleet operations, and supporting utility cost accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Relationships with Others: The coordinator communicates regularly with faculty, staff, vendors, and contractors to update on work status and coordinate activities, emphasizing good communication and cooperation.
Supervision: Supervised by the Facilities Operations Manager, with authority to dispatch personnel for priority services.
Basic Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: 2-4 years of administrative and clerical experience in a medium-sized service organization. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Valid driver’s license required if driving a Berkeley vehicle.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a competitive salary based on experience. The position is available immediately.
