Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Access Control Specialist) in Winston-Salem, NC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, conduct patrols, and maintain a secure, welcoming environment for employees and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, the ability to work a varied schedule, and compliance with background and drug screening processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a food and beverage production location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, maintain access logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, loading docks, business areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and security-related incidents.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive activity by maintaining a professional presence and following established reporting and escalation procedures.
