Job summary

Armada LTD in Washington DC is seeking an Access Control Specialist to manage visitor and employee access, verify identities, issue and collect badges, and maintain accurate access records for secure operations.

You will greet visitors, screen deliveries, issue temporary badges within minutes, log all transactions, enforce perimeter security policies, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service while upholding strict security procedures.

• Contingent Upon Award:

The Access Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility by managing visitor and employee access at perimeter posts. This role includes verifying identities, issuing and collecting badges, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all access procedures are followed efficiently and professionally.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and screen visitors and deliveries in accordance with VAR security procedures.
• Issue temporary access badges promptly (approximately 5-15 minutes) and maintain daily inventory logs.
• Conduct accurate data entry and maintain detailed records of all access transactions.
• Enforce perimeter security policies and respond to security incidents as needed.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/General Experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication
• 2-5 years of experience in access control, visitor management, or security operations.

Minimum Education

• HS Diploma, or equivalent
