Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for Controlled Entry in Lexington, NC. The role involves safeguarding clients across manufacturing and industrial sites, verifying credentials, managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and maintaining logs.

You will respond calmly to incidents and patrol key areas to ensure policy compliance and safety. The position is full-time with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a starting pay of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Armed roles require 21+ years or higher age.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control access for vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established procedures, communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
