Job summary

Allied Universal in Gretna, NE is seeking a Security Officer for full-time controlled access. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. The schedule includes evening and weekend shifts with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

This role requires 18+ for unarmed or 21+ for armed positions, a background check, and a drug screen where permitted by law. A valid driver’s license is needed only for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel, vendors, and carriers to designated areas.
• Help deter unauthorized access to warehouse, distribution, and loading areas by observing activity at entrances, gates, and other access-control points.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and loading zones, and report unusual conditions.
