Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Governance in Norfolk, VA. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and patrol the facility while delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic aerospace and defense environment.

The role requires clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. A guard card or license is preferred, with a background check and drug screen as part of the employment process.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with established access requirements.
• Operate access control systems, surveillance equipment, and communication devices; report irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders and/or site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, the facility, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
