Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Coordinator in Richmond, VA to manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support security operations.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and join Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and caring team, where people come first.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery partners at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and document entry and exit activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of incidents, visitor activity, access-control exceptions, and other security-related observations.
