Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control to safeguard clients across industries. This role requires at least 1 year in security, access-control experience, and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while enforcing site access-control protocols.
• Verify credentials and manage visitor and contractor entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and restricted areas.
• Report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
