Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Access Authorization in Columbia, SC. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badges, respond to alarms, and maintain access records at a chemical/petrochemical site.

The role requires at least one year of security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service and clear communication are essential as you deter incidents and support site operations.

Qualifications

• Background checks and drug screen as conditions of employment may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials and maintaining access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to identify irregular conditions.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations per procedures.
