Job summary

SA-TECH currently seeks a Receptionist / Access Control Specialist for NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA, to provide front-desk reception and safeguard sensitive information in line with local work instructions.

Responsibilities include screening calls, issuing badges, maintaining visitor logs, and performing routine clerical duties while supporting site security and access control operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must attain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Driver’s License required; must be insurable.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Background screening including SSN, driving record, and criminal history.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, direct callers, take messages and log entries.
• Control building access and perform security checks.
• Issue badges to cleared personnel and visitors with valid authorization.
• Caution visitors about prohibited materials and maintain access rosters.
• Maintain detailed logs of entrants and patrols as needed.
• Operate mechanical equipment and assist with inventory tasks.
• Perform routine clerical work and scheduling; assist Supply Technician.
