Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Lansing, MI to protect clients in healthcare settings. You will manage access points, verify credentials, assist visitors, and respond to security concerns while driving to different sites.

You will work full time with a daytime schedule and earn $19.00 per hour, plus benefits. The role requires a valid driver’s license, background screening, and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with healthcare location personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
