Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to join our Client Access team. You will verify eligibility for Medicaid, CHP+, and other programs, interview clients, and help them enroll using electronic and manual systems.

You will greet clients, provide compassionate service, maintain accurate records, and coordinate outreach sessions at CCH properties to connect underserved populations to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service, front desk, or medical office preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and verify patient eligibility for health insurance programs and benefits.
• Register and interview clients to obtain accurate demographic and financial information.
• Inform clients about the availability of government-funded discount programs.
• Complete enrollment applications using both electronic and manual systems.
• Identify and correct enrollment discrepancies in compliance with program guidelines.
• Maintain expertise in eligibility requirements for Medicaid, CHP+, Medicare Savings Programs, CICP, and Connect for Health Colorado.
• Record and maintain accurate data on enrollment cases and submit data to the State of Colorado.
• Periodically travel to CCH properties outside of the downtown health center for enrollment outreach events.
• Interpret and communicate eligibility criteria, policies, and procedures to clients and staff.
• Provide back-up support to Client Access Representatives as needed.
• Assist clients with questions and connect them to services.
• Support a professional, trauma-informed, and confidential work environment.
• Ensure timely use of all company systems and up-to-date records.
