Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a seasoned engineer to review project scope, develop commissioning plans, and lead multidisciplinary teams through commissioning and energization across New York State. You will collaborate with contractors, design engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote and onsite site work, with travel as required to client locations in NY.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 5 years’ experience in construction, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment, relay protection and control systems, start-up and commissioning.
• Experience in commissioning and testing of electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning and energization.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the field and coordinate with clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities and willingness to travel to sites across New York State.
• SCADA and specialized training (e.g., PTI, WPI).

THE WORK:

• You'll review and understand project scope and required services prior to commissioning activities.

$115,000 - $125,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must have a BS/BA degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET (or Owner approved equivalent) accredited college/university, and 5 years’ experience in the following areas: Construction, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment, Relay protection and control systems, Start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, Electrical Field engineering, Arc Flash safety training, Troubleshooting of electrical equipment or systems.


• SCADA and communication systems Specialized advanced training is also required (e.g., PTI. WPI, ECNE PUI, a graduate level engineering degree).


• Professional experience in commissioning and testing of electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning, and energization activities


• Professional knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment


• Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the field


• Professional experience with problem‑solving and decision‑making under project deadlines


• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities


• Willingness to travel and work on‑site across New York State
