Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

  • You'll help ensure the safety of Accenture, client and agency personnel, contractor employees, and the traveling public by monitoring contractor operations and traffic conditions, making recommendations, and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • You'll review contractor operations for compliance with Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) regulations and Department of Labor & Industries requirements.
  • You'll provide direction to project staff to ensure complete, accurate, and timely contract records related to construction progress, job expenditures, budgets, and work order balances are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • You'll collaborate with contractors to verify compliance with project plans, quality standards, and construction requirements.
  • You'll perform field inspections to confirm contractor work complies with plans, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and permit conditions.
  • You'll prepare project reports and review daily inspection reports from field inspectors to document contractor activities and project progress.
  • You'll maintain accurate and complete project records while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
You'll calculate and document field quantities to support contractor payment processing.
  • You'll document as-built conditions of completed facilities and infrastructure.
  • You'll monitor project schedules and budgets and provide status reports to executive leadership as required.
  • You'll prepare contract change orders for alterations, deviations, additions, or deletions to project plans and specifications to support successful contract execution.
  • You'll research field conditions, develop solutions requiring contract modifications, and coordinate any necessary engineering redesign efforts.
  • You'll identify the need for contract-related documentation and prepare submissions for contractor review and action.
  • You'll review critical path method (CPM) schedules, identify project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • You'll maintain a daily project diary documenting contractor activities, project progress, and key discussions with project and construction management teams.
  • You'll support the resolution of contractor disputes, prepare responses in accordance with contract requirements, and develop draft claim reports when needed.
  • You'll ensure inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities are performed in accordance with the client's Quality Management Plan.
  • You'll coordinate special inspections and materials testing activities, including collaboration with WABO-certified special inspectors and accredited testing agencies.
  • You'll monitor temporary erosion and sediment control (TESC) compliance and coordinate with the certified erosion and sediment control lead.
  • You'll review certified payrolls and Washington State Intents and Affidavits to verify apparent compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
  • You'll ensure contractor activities and deliverables conform to all client contract documents.
  • You'll perform constructability reviews and provide recommendations and comments on design packages to improve project delivery and reduce construction risks.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or another related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in construction management on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably with individual project values of $30 million or greater
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope
  • Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one

Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred — Washington State registration, or registration in another state with the ability to obtain Washington registration by comity. Candidates with equivalent construction contract administration experience on transit or public infrastructure projects will also be considered.

Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction

Experience administering FTA-funded construction contracts

Relevant agencies include Sound Transit, Community Transit, King County Metro, Pierce Transit, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit, Intercity Transit, Spokane Transit, C-TRAN, and WSDOT.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
