Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior construction program manager to lead large-scale transit and public infrastructure projects onsite with client teams. You will act as the owner’s representative, supervise staff, oversee safety, quality, and environmental programs, and coordinate with agencies to keep projects on time and within budget.

  • Ten years of experience in construction management on transit/public infrastructure projects (>$30M).
  • Three years of supervisory experience on major contracts of similar size/scope.
  • Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA specs for road/bridge construction.
  • Experience on FTA-funded projects and federal contract compliance.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

  • Serve as owner’s representative for all aspects of the project; oversee project staff and daily field/office operations.
  • Support client executive leadership in delivery and management of the project.
  • Monitor schedules and budgets; provide regular reporting to executive leadership; manage project execution for quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Oversee engineering, construction, quality, safety, environmental, third-party, and community outreach activities.
  • Represent the client with community stakeholders and public agencies (cities, counties, WSDOT, utilities, permitting authorities).
  • Champion the safety culture and provide leadership to achieve zero lost-time incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project governance standards.
  • Perform constructability reviews of design packages and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate construction activities with transit operations to minimize service disruptions.
  • Oversee compliance with Buy America, Davis-Bacon, and WA prevailing wage; DBE reporting obligations.

THE WORK:

  • You'll coordinate construction activities with transit operations to minimize service disruptions through advance planning, communication, and ongoing coordination during active construction.

  • You'll oversee compliance with federal and state contract requirements on federally funded projects, including Buy America provisions, Davis‑Bacon and Washington State prevailing wage requirements, and DBE reporting obligations.

  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • With all our roles, there is some in‑person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

$150,000 - $185,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Ten years of experience in construction management on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably with individual project values of $30 million or greater.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope.
  • Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.
  • Experience on FTA-funded projects, including familiarity with federal contract compliance requirements.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods, particularly GC/CM and design-build, is preferred, including experience supporting preconstruction and construction phases
  • Established relationships with Washington transit agencies and public works departments are a significant advantage
  • Relevant agencies include Sound Transit, Community Transit, King County Metro, Pierce Transit, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit, Intercity Transit, Spokane Transit, C-TRAN, and WSDOT
  • Experience with EV charging or transit electrification infrastructure
  • Contractor‑side experience (Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Engineer)
  • Competency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Familiarity with a construction document management platform such as Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, or similar.
