Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with \"Good Enough.\"

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

Responsibilities
  • You’ll ensure the safety of Accenture and Client employees, State employees, Contractor employees, and the traveling public by observing contractor operations and traffic conditions, making recommendations, and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • You’ll review contractor operations for compliance with CAL OSHA regulations.
  • You’ll provide direction to staff to ensure that complete, accurate, and timely contract records—pertaining to construction progress, job expenditures, budget programs, and work order balances—are maintained in accordance with State and Federal regulations and laws.
  • You’ll confer with contractors regarding compliance with plans, quality of work, and construction activity.
  • You’ll perform field inspections of contractor work to determine compliance with plans, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and related requirements.
  • You’ll prepare reports, as well as review and incorporate daily inspection reports from Field Inspectors, to document the contractor’s activities.
  • You’ll maintain accurate and complete project records and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • You’ll calculate and document field quantities for payment purposes.
  • You’ll document the as-built condition of the constructed facility.
  • You’ll monitor the project schedule and budget, and report as required to executive leadership.
  • You’ll assist Accenture in managing the project to maintain quality, schedule, and budget.
  • You’ll prepare contract change orders for making alterations, deviations, additions, or deletions to the plans and specifications to ensure proper completion or construction of the contract.
  • You’ll formulate, research, and develop solutions for field conditions that necessitate a contract change order, which may include performing any necessary engineering redesign work.
  • You’ll identify the need for and prepare contract-related documents for submission to the contractor.
  • You’ll review CPM schedules and identify and mitigate project risks.
  • You’ll complete a daily project diary of pertinent activities and discussions held regarding the progress of the contractor’s work and interactions with the Project/Construction Manager.
  • You’ll assist Accenture and the Client in resolving and responding to contractor disputes in a timely manner as provided by the contract.
  • You’ll prepare draft claim reports for Client Vendor/Contract Management when required.
  • You’ll ensure that inspection, testing, and other quality activities are performed in accordance with the Client’s Quality Management Plan (QMP).
  • You’ll ensure conformance with all Client contract documents.
  • You’ll perform constructability reviews and provide comments on design packages.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or another related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in California
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Construction Management on transit projects of at least $30 million.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the management of major, construction contracts of similar size and scope
  • Valid California Class C driver’s license
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
