Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with \"Good Enough.\"

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

  • You’ll demonstrate project controls expertise gained from Utility New Gas Generation projects and provide direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You’ll integrate with and support the Project Management team to ensure successful execution of assigned projects.
  • You’ll promote safe behavior and ensure adherence to all safety rules on the project.
  • You’ll implement Accenture and client Project Management Standards in cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk, and issues management to ensure projects achieve business goals on time and within budget.
  • You’ll ensure comprehensive project controls are in place—including cost, schedule, scope, and risk—and validate that contract agreements and contractor execution align with project controls requirements.
  • You’ll perform rigorous and independent project assessments to ensure compliance with the Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards.
  • You’ll conduct training on clients’ SGP, project management standards, implementation guides, and project controls disciplines such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).
  • You’ll assist in portfolio analysis, optimization, and reporting, including risk assessments for completing planned scopes of work in alignment with multi-year budget plans.
  • You’ll prepare and maintain cost reports and forecasts with Cost Analysts, validate Estimate to Completion and Estimate at Completion forecasts, and conduct contingency analyses and reporting.
  • You’ll perform schedule analytics to evaluate schedule quality, assess progress, monitor contractor compliance with schedule-related contractual requirements, and report performance.
  • You’ll collaborate with project managers and teams to identify, document, and mitigate risks, manage the Change Management process, and track approved project changes, with work performed in both office and field settings.
  • You’ll utilize project management and project controls expertise as well as business acumen and experience to provide SME-level project management, controls, and business case guidance to project team members.

Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (or related field) OR 8 years equivalent/related work experience (in addition to the Minimum Experience requirement) in lieu of a degree
  • 6 years minimum capital project controls experience on utility new gas generation projects or process industry (O&G, refining, chemicals, mining) projects of $300M or larger in project size
  • Ability to perform field walkdown observations/inspection on foot across moderate to rough terrain and the ability to lift 25lbs overhead
  • Experienced at an expert level with scheduling software packages and related analytics, spreadsheet-based analytics, and project and construction management fundamentals.
  • Project controls experience on large scale capital projects.
  • Experience of project controls implemented on projects executed under various types of contract agreements including EPC. Both contractor and owner construction project controls experience.
  • Certifications from PMI and/or AACEi
  • Cost, Schedule, Reporting Change Management, Contract Management and Risk Management Skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in working on construction sites, engineering offices, fabrication sites, etc. to support project teams.
  • Demonstrates experience in working with EPC Contracts.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
