Job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

THE WORK
  • You'll lead project controls delivery for complex pharmaceutical and biotechnology capital programs, driving governance, strategy, and performance across cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting functions.
  • You'll build, develop, and mentor high-performing project controls teams, including cost managers, estimators, schedulers, risk specialists, change managers, and reporting analysts.
  • You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients and project leadership, transforming project data into executive-level insights, recommendations, and decision support.
  • You'll establish and maintain integrated project controls frameworks, standards, procedures, KPIs, reporting cycles, baselines, and assurance processes.
  • You'll oversee project financial performance, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, contingency management, cost reporting, and estimate-at-completion projections.
  • You'll lead integrated schedule management across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment, critical path visibility, schedule integrity, and risk-informed planning.
  • You'll direct risk, opportunity, and change management processes, ensuring impacts are evaluated, governed, mitigated, and communicated effectively.
  • You'll provide proactive performance management through forecasting, variance analysis, earned value management, executive dashboards, and governance reporting.
  • You'll partner with project, engineering, construction, commercial, finance, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams to improve project integration and delivery outcomes.
  • You'll support business growth and capability development through client relationship management, proposals, recruitment, training, continuous improvement initiatives, and project controls best practices
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, Business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive capital-project experience, with deep expertise in project controls for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated success leading the project controls function on large, complex, multi-contractor projects or programs, preferably including investments valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars or more
  • At least 7 years of experience directly leading project controls professionals and multidisciplinary teams, including resource planning, coaching, performance management, and quality assurance
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
  • Expert knowledge of cost management, estimating, planning and scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting, earned value, risk analysis, change control, contingency management, and executive reporting
  • Strong experience developing and assuring integrated master schedules, cost breakdown structures, work breakdown structures, control accounts, baselines, cash flows, trends, and estimate-at-completion forecasts
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex project information, identify emerging issues, challenge assumptions, and present clear recommendations to senior internal and client stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of the full capital-project lifecycle, including front-end planning, stage-gate approvals, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, start-up, and handover
  • Experience working with EPCM, engineering, construction, equipment, and specialty service providers and enforcing project controls and reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of GMP, validation, EHS, quality, and regulatory expectations applicable to life sciences facilities and capital delivery
  • Proficiency with relevant project controls systems and tools, such as Primavera P6, cost-management platforms, risk-analysis tools, reporting and visualization solutions, and enterprise data environments
  • Strong leadership, client relationship, facilitation, negotiation, decision-making, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convert project data into concise executive narratives and recommendations
  • Professional credentials such as PMP, AACE CCP or PSP, PE, CCM, or an equivalent industry certification are preferred.
  • Ability to travel to client and project sites as required

$185,000 - $220,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below. We will accept applications until September 15, 2026.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
