Job summary

Nusano, based in West Valley City, Utah, seeks a Particle Accelerator Operator to join engineering and physics teams. You will install, qualify, and operate accelerators and related subsystems, coordinating with technicians and scientists to ensure safe, reliable isotope production.

Responsibilities include maintenance planning, adhering to PPS/MPS safety protocols, and contributing to 24/7 shift operations. Strong background in labs or accelerator environments is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering or related field, with 1+ year operations experience or an Associate’s degree with exceptional qualifications.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, vacuum, RF, electromagnet, cryogenic, controls, and high voltage systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and procedures, follow formal procedures, and work with various hand/power tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, qualify, and operate accelerator and related subsystems and components.
• Operate and tune the accelerator and beam transport systems, managing schedules and safety requirements.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform advanced troubleshooting to identify and repair components.
