Nusano in West Valley City, Utah is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team and help complete the design and build-out of our particle accelerator-based radioisotope production facility. The role involves collaborating with physicists, chemists, and technicians, translating concepts into detailed drawings, and managing fabrication and commissioning of custom equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Five or more years of related professional work experience.
• Aptitude for assembly work and guiding a group of technicians.
• Two or more years of SolidWorks CAD modeling experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop and finalize designs for complex new devices.
• Translate concepts into detailed engineering drawings and perform design analyses.
• Manage all aspects of component fabrication, including multi-piece components.
• Install, test, commission, and provide lifecycle support for custom equipment.
• Author and maintain procedures and documentation supporting equipment and operation.
