Job summary

Avis Budget Group invites you to join the 10 Week Accelerate Internship Program in Parsippany, NJ, where you will explore procurement and sourcing across our Global Business Services organization while gaining hands-on experience with real datasets.

You will learn to analyze large, complex data, support supplier research and contracting, and collaborate with Operations, Finance and Global Procurement to drive cost efficiencies and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in using data to make business decisions.
• Strong interest in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, business analytics and/or data science.
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify trends, opportunities and insights.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement and sourcing initiatives across the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, aligning sourcing strategies with business priorities.
• Analyze large, complex datasets and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements and service optimization.
• Support strategic sourcing activities, including supplier research, data analysis, supplier selection and contracting.
• Apply business analytics, statistics and/or data science to categorize, profile and analyze procurement and business data.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, cash flow, efficiency and supplier performance across the GBS organization.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Global Procurement teams to understand business needs and support sourcing initiatives.
• Help maintain compliance with procurement policies and support the execution of procurement processes and best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions to develop sourcing strategies that support long-term business needs.
• Help evaluate supplier information and performance to support informed business decisions.

What you’ll do:

• Support procurement and sourcing initiatives across our Global Business Services (GBS) organization, helping align sourcing strategies with business priorities.
• Work with business stakeholders and procurement teams to analyze large, complex datasets and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements and service optimization.

What we’re looking for:

• Active enrollment at a college/university, graduating May or June 2028 – Rising Seniors.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in using data to make business decisions.
• Strong interest in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, business analytics and/or data science.
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify trends, opportunities and insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with a strong curiosity, willingness to learn and interest in solving complex business problems.
• Strong business communication and presentation skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $30 an hour.
