Job summary

Avis Budget Group is offering a 10 Week Accelerate internship in Parsippany, NJ. You will learn the ins and outs of the department, participate in professional development workshops, and hear from leaders to understand the business.

Expect to develop a project delivering insights to the organization and present to senior leaders at the program end. During the internship, you will expand your analytical skills, work on forecasting and reporting tasks, and gain exposure to how the company drives

Qualifications

• Active enrollment at college/university.
• Ability to work 35 hours a week at Parsippany, NJ World HQ.
• Prioritization in a fast-paced environment with strong time management.
• Proficient to advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with ownership of work and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of financial statements and analysis.
• Develop monthly forecasts and business plans for revenue/expenses.
• Assist with preparation and automation of management reports.
• Support month and quarter close processes.
• Review income statements to reconcile forecast to actuals.
• Develop a project that drives value and present findings to leaders.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with preparation of financial statements and perform analysis and reconciliation of accounts
• Develop monthly forecasts and Business Plan for revenue and expense accounts
• Assist with preparation and automation of various management reports
• Support month and quarter close processes
• Review monthly income statements to reconcile forecast to actuals
• Each intern will develop a project that will drive value and insights to the organization and present to business leaders at the conclusion of their internship
• Participate in various ad-hoc projects

What we’re looking for:

• Active enrollment at college/university.
• Ability to work 35 hours a week at our World HQ in Parsippany, NJ
• Able to prioritize in a fast paced, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency and time management
• Proficient to advanced computer skills including MS Outlook, Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
• Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others, but also the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The hourly rate for this position is $30 an hour.
