Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS in Illinois seeks an ACAS Administrator II to support a federal environment. You will conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS and Nessus, assist with patching, and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, NIST, and RMF.

You will work with IT and security teams to maintain system integrity, develop documentation, and support audits while minimizing downtime during migrations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal role.
• Active DoD Interim Secret or Secret Clearance is required.
• IAT Level III certification or equivalent is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with ACAS and Nessus for vulnerability assessment.
• Strong understanding of security patching and system hardening practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine ACAS scans to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
• Coordinate remediation with cross-functional teams to meet federal standards.
• Assist in applying patches and hardening according to DoD guidelines.
• Maintain ACAS components and troubleshoot Security Center and Nessus.
• Develop and update security documentation and SOPs.
• Support migrations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Participate in incident response and containment activities.
• Contribute to internal/external security audits with evidence of controls.
• Stay current on threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
