Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring an ACAS Administrator II to support and maintain the security posture of a federal environment using ACAS and related tools. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation, and assist with DoD and federal guidelines compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement patches, hardening, and incident response activities, ensuring system integrity and regulatory alignment. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Active DoD Interim Secret or Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP, CISSP, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CCSP) preferred (CASP preferred).
• Hands-on ACAS Tenable Security Center and Nessus experience for vulnerability assessment and reporting.
• Knowledge of patching, hardening, and backup/recovery (SAN/NAS) in mid-sized/enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain security posture in a federal environment using ACAS and related tools.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in applying and verifying security patches and system hardening per DoD and federal guidelines.
• Ensure availability and reliability of ACAS components and troubleshoot related issues.
• Develop and update technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in incident response using ACAS scans and forensic tools under senior guidance.
• Support internal and external audits with evidence of security controls.
