Job summary

The New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy (NMLEA) provides basic and in-service training for police officers and telecommunicators across the state. The Acadis system is used to review, audit, track and report training, compliance and performance under the Law Enforcement Training Act.

Reporting to the Academy leadership, the role involves supervising a team of Data Analysts, coordinating day-to-day schedules, and ensuring adequate coverage of all operational areas to support the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in software administration, preferably in a public safety government environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Law Enforcement Training Act and related mandates, including statewide training, certification and compliance operations.
• Proven ability to oversee large-scale data systems and manage resources to support training and certification functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale operational responsibilities that support law enforcement training and certification statewide.
• Identify and allocate resources to meet daily operational demands including database management and compliance monitoring.
• Ensure alignment with the Training & Standards Council and statutory mandates, and balance ongoing responsibilities.
