Job summary

K-State Athletics is seeking a qualified Academics/Strategic Learning Post Graduate Intern to provide academic support to a caseload of student-athletes. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring academic plans, studying skills, course/major selections, and maintaining academic records.

Our mission is to help student-athletes reach their maximum potential academically and athletically, while collaborating with the full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in higher education, special education, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Working knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
• Master's preferred for higher education/athletics support roles.
• Experience with student-athlete academic services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to a caseload of student-athletes and develop academic plans.
• Develop and monitor study skills and individualized learning strategies.
• Assist students with course and major selections, grade and eligibility requirements.
• Connect students to tutoring and academic support resources.
• Develop and maintain academic records and reports.
• Contribute to projects assigned by the full-time staff.

This position is responsible for providing academic support to a caseload of students that includes developing and monitoring academic plans, assisting with development of study skills and individualized learning strategies; assisting students with course and major selections, grade and eligibility requirements; connecting to tutorial and academic support resources; developing and maintaining academic records and reports, and other projects assigned by the fulltime staff.

Minimum Requirements:
