Job summary

K-State Athletics in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Senior Learning Specialist to provide intensive academic support to an assigned group of student-athletes and oversee internship and tutoring programs. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role with on-site work and involvement in program development.

The position requires a Master's degree and two years of related experience, with some evening and weekend hours expected. On-site work in Kansas is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education-related field
• Two years working full-time as a learning specialist or in a closely related field

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive academic support to an assigned group of student-athletes.
• Work with other learning specialists to level and support all student athletes in the program.
• Supervise and mentor post-graduate interns and oversee their daily responsibilities.
• Coordinate the Strategic Tutor Program, assist with recruitment, hiring and training of tutors.
• Collaborate with intern supervisors to create holistic development throughout the internship program.
• Provide leadership and assistance with the Strategic Learning program services and resources.
• Other duties as assigned
